Integrated scheduling

Upgraded Rostering lets agencies create a visit pattern once and roll the rota forward automatically. The system combines template-based scheduling with care records, linking visits to care tasks, medication information, funding details and audit trails. It also supports multi-week and alternating-week patterns, while identifying potential scheduling conflicts.

Operational and care-management links

Birdie says confirmed visits can feed directly into payroll and invoicing, avoiding duplicate data entry. The platform records schedule changes as visible exceptions and captures compliance evidence during care delivery. Birdie also says carers can access relevant task and medication information, while families can see the scheduled carer. The company presents consistent visit patterns as a way to support continuity where possible.

Reported rollout and results

Suffolk provider Harmonize Care reports saving about 50 hours each week after adopting the system, following difficulties with its previous software. Birdie says the product was phased to more than 160 partners and has supported over 3.1 million care hours across 1.7 million visits. It is generally available to UK homecare providers only within the Birdie platform. Birdie-reported testing found faster setup and assignment than a competitor’s system.
