Compact design and positioning

The mid-wheel M4 Nexa is designed for smaller users, with seat widths from 12 inches and a tight-turning base for navigating confined spaces. Its compact front casters allow the footplates to tuck beneath the chair. The chair provides anterior tilt, tilt, recline, elevating leg rests and seat elevation.

Seating range and access

Permobil says the M4 Nexa is the only chair in its class offering a 15-inch seat-to-floor height with anterior tilt, supporting more level transfers and access to standard-height tables. Its single seating system accommodates seat depths from 10 to 22 inches. The manufacturer describes the Nexa Seating System as patent-pending and designed around natural body pivot points.

Adjustable architecture and connectivity

The modular seating architecture can be adjusted for seat width, seat depth, foot supports and arm supports using two Allen keys, with most changes possible while the user remains seated. Permobil Connect provides battery and range visibility, fault alerts before the chair stops, and personalization features. The company says the chair was developed with users, clinicians, providers and engineers, and can adapt as needs evolve.
