Will it fit in my car?

Take five measurements before choosing a folding chair.

Will it fit in my car?

Measure the opening

Record the narrowest width and height of the boot opening. The interior can be much larger than the opening the chair must pass through.

Measure usable space

Record the floor length, floor width and height with the parcel shelf or cover in place. Include anything that stays in the car.

Write down the folded dimensions

Use the folded length, width and height for the exact configuration, including any parts left attached. Check whether the manufacturer permits the orientation you intend to use.

Try loading it

Bring the car to a demonstration and test loading, securing and unloading with the person who will normally help. Ask about suitable lifting equipment if required.
