Measure the narrowest clear opening between the places you use most: front door, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Include handles, furniture and any threshold.
Understand turning radius
Turning radius describes a particular manoeuvre. It does not guarantee that a chair will turn into a specific doorway. Take your measurements to a demonstration and recreate the tightest corner.
Check controls and transfers
Try reaching the joystick, placing your feet and approaching a table. Ask how the armrests move and whether they suit your usual transfer method.
Leave space for charging
Plan where the chair will be stored and charged, keeping access clear and following the exact battery and charger instructions.
