An additional material choice
The 3 August announcement introduces carbon-fibre models within the Küschall active wheelchair range. The existing aluminium options remain alongside them. The company describes a woven-carbon appearance and high-gloss finish, with personal configuration still central to the range.
Compare the configured chair, not the material label
The release promotes lighter handling, but does not provide one weight that applies to every configuration. Seat dimensions, wheels and accessories all need to be held consistent when comparing a complete chair or the parts removed for transport.
For a manual wheelchair, the trial should include the propulsion and transfer tasks the user actually performs. A material preference can be part of the decision without substituting for fit, setup or a suitable assessment. Record which components were fitted to the demonstrator so a later quotation can be checked against it. Include the cushion, back support and wheels in that record, alongside the parts removed during your usual loading sequence.
