Go Go Carbon vs WHILL Model R 4-Wheel: folding weight or ride setup?

Compare the job, not the wheel count

The Go Go Carbon prioritises a light folding package. WHILL’s Model R 4-Wheel specification instead includes full suspension with a stabilizer and a much heavier device. They should not be treated as interchangeable simply because both are four-wheel scooters.

The larger scooter quotes the tighter turn

The US turning-radius figures are 53 inches for the Go Go Carbon and 38.2 inches for the Model R 4-Wheel. WHILL lists a device weight of 125.2 lb; Pride lists 39 lb with the battery. The different weight descriptions should be retained when reviewing transport arrangements.

The conclusion is not that the heavier scooter is harder to use everywhere. It is that its loading method requires a different assessment, while the turning figure may suit a different route.

A decision based on the main journey

For frequent folding and car loading, begin by demonstrating the Go Go’s handling sequence. For outings where the scooter starts from home, assess the Model R’s ride setup and route suitability.

Do not choose suspension from a specification alone: try the equipment on appropriate representative surfaces. Likewise, avoid choosing a small folded package before confirming that the controls and seating work for the driver.
