Jazzy Ultra Light: where portability meets seat space

A carbon-frame option to consider when a folding chair must also provide a relatively generous seating footprint.

The useful starting point

Pride’s US specification gives the Ultra Light a 33 lb weight without the battery and a 300 lb user capacity. Its width is 24.49 inches. That combination makes it a candidate for a transport-focused shortlist, but width deserves attention before the frame weight becomes the deciding factor.

How to evaluate the shortlist

PriorityWhat would support the choiceWhat could rule it out
Portable storageA repeatable fold-and-load sequence. An unsuitable lifting method.
Indoor accessComfortable clearance on everyday routes.A doorway or turn that requires repeated awkward corrections.
Daily useA suitable seated position and reachable controls.Seating needs beyond the available configuration.

The battery choice changes the comparison

The manufacturer offers a 10Ah configuration and quotes the longer headline range with a 20Ah battery. Do not compare that longer-range configuration against another chair’s smallest battery while treating the weights as equivalent. Record the battery on the quote and the weight of the actual lift.

Where it earns a closer look

The fold locks for transport, and the joystick can be mounted on either armrest. These are useful features to demonstrate as part of getting into a vehicle and setting up at the destination.

This chair is worth considering when folding is frequent but the home has room for its width. It needs a more careful trial where a narrow approach or a tight table position sets the limit. Measure the usable passage with the door open, then repeat the approach with the demonstrator.

A low frame weight does not establish an easy lift for every person. If the loading method is the main reason for choosing this model, complete that task in the real vehicle before deciding.
